Caribou Woodland

Things are not looking good for the caribou, also known as reindeer. I’m afraid that, unless we act quickly, our next generation will only known these iconic specie through the typical Christmas card; as a flying creature that carries Santa Claus across the world to deliver presents to nice people. Forever immortalized in the spirit of Christmas dreamland, but forgotten on the harsh reality of the endangered life species. This magnificent wild creature, jewel of the northern ancient indigenous communities, faces now extinction.

The Real Reindeer

This adaptable, and herbivore mammal known in North America as caribou, is cherished by all children across the world and forever bounded to the Christmas spirit.

The only deer, in which both male and female have antlers, thrives in cold climates up in the northern latitudes. No; they don’t fly, but their hooves allow them to easily walk either on snow or ice, and their thick hollow let them endure extreme cold temperatures and float when crossing rivers or lakes, which is still pretty cool.
